tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14500242337364507312024-03-13T06:34:26.059-04:00TrulyNeutralA Clay Aiken blog. We were there for him when his sexuality was in question and we're here now.
If you like to discuss Clay Aiken, whether you agree or disagree with his career, hair, etc., then this just might be the place for you. Although I no longer expect this to be a totally bash free zone, I do think there is a happy medium that should and can be maintained with your help. I do insist there be no gay bashing or racial slurs. Aside from that...'Welcome to TN'.nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.comBlogger229125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-75550974641679047542012-09-23T09:54:00.002-04:002012-09-23T10:14:59.044-04:00It's Time<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">It's been a long time coming but, it is time to say goodbye to TrulyNeutral. </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">How ironic that it's been almost exactly 5 years since our TN blog started. October 1, 2007</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">To be honest, I keep forgetting to come here. I don't know if it's an age thing, or a lack of interest in following Clay so intently. Perhaps if he was doing something I'd be interested in.....like good music, broadway, or tv, but he isn't and I'm just not into Christmas music enough to keep going on with the blog.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">True, I will more than likely follow the new tour at the Clayboard. I just have to remember to go there. His humor still interest me after all, and if he has some of this going on during his tour, then I'd love to see it....that is, if there's any 'clack' available.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">I haven't lost interest altogether, but just enough to not want to bother blogging any longer. Heck, even the blog audience is gone for the most part, and I totally get that.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">So, I imagine in about a week or two 'TrulyNeutral' will likely be deleted. If not deleted, it's to keep the archived blogs. I would like to go back and skim some of them for old times sake. lol</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">I enjoyed our run immensely in the beginning and up to about the last year, so thank you to all past and present TN'ers, the good times, the bad times, and yes, the ugly ones.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">If anyone is out there from the ole days still reading, please stop in and say 'bye'. It truly was fun getting to 'know' you, whether we agreed or not.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">As I've mentioned before if anyone would like to stay in touch via Facebook or Google+, then please email me at nosweatyo@gmail.com and put 'TrulyNeutral' in the subject line.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">I'll miss you guys, those that have already moved on and those that remain to this day. </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;"><span style="font-size: large;">(( Hugs )) to you all.</span></span><br />

</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Clay's about to burst onto the scene once again and all I can say is,</div><div style="color: #45818e;">"It's about time"! </div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><span style="color: #45818e;">I am most excited about <a href="http://www.nbc.com/the-apprentice/celebrities/clay-aiken/" style="color: red;" target="_blank">Celebrity Apprentice.</a> </span><span style="color: #45818e;">It's been a long wait since the announcement. I didn't think the time would ever get here. And now, it's only a week away.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBVMcb3Vf-5td3OrZKuG0N8n6KcEfuSpPRJdpBQyrTim-raYrnmnRfuiPBFoYVWp6z_DVRGebdxTGgctsAcLYwOlEYs2zydqvTVX0Y2boRK2FgwTTufsUz9AJ4hGjf-Cm0ZgmXpZNqwnMo/s1600/!cid_687212121@10102007-0441.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBVMcb3Vf-5td3OrZKuG0N8n6KcEfuSpPRJdpBQyrTim-raYrnmnRfuiPBFoYVWp6z_DVRGebdxTGgctsAcLYwOlEYs2zydqvTVX0Y2boRK2FgwTTufsUz9AJ4hGjf-Cm0ZgmXpZNqwnMo/s1600/!cid_687212121@10102007-0441.gif" /></a></div><br />
<span style="color: #45818e;">I</span><span style="color: #45818e;"> can't wait!!!! Hopefully, those of you that stuck around during my dry spell will be checking in here at TN so we can discuss the show each week; the good, the bad and the ugly.</span><br />
<div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Yup, if you know the show (Celebrity Apprentice) like I do, you know it will be all of those and more.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh73bMtW0z28SeWfO7_ajJwlzBrulV2PtWPpvaP1Bc6hKzVBOOrp91mdtW2aVTXEKiWBrcJLwz0pndYmmFbsX7TE-XRt40-Wi5AEVXQih-N6k8p113-L-SJfuGGFLIx20Aau3GKqXgpTW-I/s1600/bliss.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh73bMtW0z28SeWfO7_ajJwlzBrulV2PtWPpvaP1Bc6hKzVBOOrp91mdtW2aVTXEKiWBrcJLwz0pndYmmFbsX7TE-XRt40-Wi5AEVXQih-N6k8p113-L-SJfuGGFLIx20Aau3GKqXgpTW-I/s1600/bliss.gif" /></a></div><div style="color: #45818e;">I am so very very excited about it!! Did I say "I can't wait?" yet? Well, I can't. </div><div style="color: #45818e;">Too bad I have to. </div><br />
<div style="color: #45818e;">Music: March 26. Who knew? Clay's coming out with a new CD, 'Steadfast'. </div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><span style="color: #45818e;">You can read about it here:</span> <span style="color: white;"> </span><a href="http://www.deccarecords.com/artist/detail.aspx?nid=4855&aid=97131" style="color: white;" target="_blank">Decca Records/STEADFAST</a> <br />
<a href="http://www.deccarecords.com/artist/detail.aspx?nid=4855&aid=97131"><br />
</a><br />
<div style="color: #45818e;">As you know, I'm not too keen on the slow stuff, but I'll probably buy the CD and give it a chance. There are songs on it that I used to like back in the day, so maybe just maybe, it'll be okay.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Clay's sticking to his guns and putting out what he like musically. Who am I to fault him for that, right?</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">I can't really talk about his new song, 'Bring Back My Love', that's on the radio. </div><span style="color: #45818e;">I haven't heard it and I didn't find it on YouTube set to a montage or anything, so I'll just have to wait for the CD to come out.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1eGH26Psurf1Z3wno5xrvWWhwRY9sckaBwH0yRv03r3bh45bqdPguz6sQ19_VRPL5UHBeaVK2NnrU-MD8VOI_3jCWFbm1dseuitVMQiCosVOekfeDgHVb_MNHHANKm4lyBsLq386oJ7R-/s1600/biggrins.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1eGH26Psurf1Z3wno5xrvWWhwRY9sckaBwH0yRv03r3bh45bqdPguz6sQ19_VRPL5UHBeaVK2NnrU-MD8VOI_3jCWFbm1dseuitVMQiCosVOekfeDgHVb_MNHHANKm4lyBsLq386oJ7R-/s1600/biggrins.gif" /></a></div><span style="color: #45818e;">Tweeting:</span><span style="color: white;"> </span><a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/clayaiken" style="color: white;" target="_blank">Clay's Tweeting</a> <span style="color: #45818e;">Bout damn time, Clay! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #45818e;">Hope to see you here for the Apprentice discussions. </span>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-88582661272121861722011-10-12T17:57:00.000-04:002011-10-12T17:57:06.054-04:00Clay on Celebrity Apprentice<div style="color: #38761d;">Just read in a google alert that Clay's going to be on the next Celebrity Apprentice.</div><div style="color: #38761d;"><br />
</div><span style="color: #38761d;">See article here:</span> <a href="http://www.people.com/people/news/category/0,,personsTax:ClayAiken,00.html">People/Clay/Celebrity Apprentice</a><br />
<br />
<div style="color: #38761d;">IMO, this is great. He's smart, well spoken and I believe he can deal with the drama of the show.</div><div style="color: #38761d;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #38761d;">WooHoo. Can't wait. I love and watch all of the Celebrity Apprentice seasons.</div><div style="color: #38761d;"><br />

Why? Because I wanted to stream Netflix on my tv instead of watching it on my laptop.</span><br />
<div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">No, I'm not buying into the DVD rental thingy. That's way too expensive for me. Besides there's a LOT of movies I've never seen that are available to stream.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Anyway, when I went into Best Buy my plan was just to get an adapter to convert my laptop sata connection to HDMI, but pfffft, there is no such thing. Fortunately, the Best Buy clerk didn't just brush me off. She actually had some other suggestions. Of course, I've already fogotten what they are, but 'meh', oh well, at least she showed me Apple TV. And <i>dayum</i>, it does more than just stream Netflix. It ties into my youtube accounts and my itunes account. Holy crap, I can watch youtube on TV!</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">And Holy More Crap, I can watch all of my itunes stuff on my TV....and that's just what I did for a while.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Which brings me to; ta-daaaa....I watched quite a bit of Clay Aiken fan videos on my TV; without having to make a DVD first. Imagine that!</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Anyway, it had been a while since watching 'the clack', and I must say there was a lot to enjoy. Naturally, I especially enjoyed the early days stuff. IMO, that is when Clay was at his best; up to and including the JBT.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">So, there you have it. I watched Clay Aiken and enjoyed it.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">True, I've gotten a bit bored while waiting for something new to happen regarding Clay and have actually even gotten sidetracked with my sons, Facebook, games, movie and tv watching, etc., therefore have forgotten at times to check into TN, sometimes even forgetting I have a blog. I know, why admit that? lol. Because it is what it is. I forget. </div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Is it a lack of interest in Clay? I don't think so. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I start to remember better when there's something going on with him. At least from the sounds of it/what I've read here, there is something on the horizon. I guess I'll know in due time.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">The one thing I do know though, is that I enjoyed watching the early/old clack. If that's all I'll get out of being a fan, I can live with that. It was worth it.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-60347622341926165132011-06-26T12:04:00.000-04:002011-06-26T12:04:03.480-04:00¿<div style="color: #45818e;">For lack of a title, I give you an upside down question mark. Sorry bout that. As you may have guessed and/or wondered I've been questioning my interest of following Clay as much as I have in the past, so wanted to give myself time to mull it over.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Actually, what is there to follow as of late? Sure he'll be on TV (Drop Dead Diva), but I'm not even sure when it's on.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">I don't want to word this in the wrong way, but back then, after AI, I thought we'd be following a continuing 'star', but that doesn't seem to be the case, at least not now anyway.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">I have no regrets as I've had many happy moments watching, listening, viewing Clay Aiken. But I don't feel that he's giving it his all or wants all the attention, for that matter.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"> </div><div style="color: #45818e;">I'm not saying it's the end for me as a fan, but the time spent on following and wanting to follow has dwindled.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><span style="color: #45818e;">Perhaps in time that will change.</span> <u style="color: magenta;">TN will remain</u> <span style="color: #45818e;">here</span><u style="color: #45818e;"></u><span style="color: #45818e;"> for us to discuss the pros and cons of what we feel, and I will try to update more often. </span><br />
<div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Maybe someday they'll be more content to add with regard to Clay's career. Hopefully so. He has the talent. The question is; does he have the drive? Not being sure about that anymore is making me a lazy disinterested fan.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Feel free to give your honest opinion on my opinion. :-) I have thick skin.</div><div style="color: #45818e;"><br />
</div><div style="color: #45818e;">Please feel free to discuss any subject. Maybe if things change for the better in Clay's career, then he will automatically become the main focus of the blog again.</div>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-82129531157949287792011-04-17T09:37:00.000-04:002011-04-17T09:37:09.295-04:00Time and Patience<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Drop Dead Diva.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">I've heard of it. I've never seen the show so don't have a clue what it's all about, but it makes me happy to see/hear that Clay is out there getting work.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">No, it's not music....and well, to be honest, maybe that's a good thing right now. If I'm to be truthful, which I am, (sometimes to a fault) his last cd was {} this close to being a career killer for him. In the music field anyway.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Hopefully if Clay ever decides to put out a cd again, he'll research <em><strong>and</strong></em> listen to others about what kind of type of music to throw out there for the listening audience.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Sorry, I got offtrack. Clay <em>can</em> act. No question about it. I hope he's auditioning like crazy for tv roles, broadway, etc.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">I believe that someday there will be that one special role where he'll finally get the attention and respect he deserves in the entertainment industry.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">It's going to take <em>time and patience</em> for us. And for Clay, it's going to take <em>time, patience</em> and giving respect to those that are there to give him a chance.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">I'm still giving Clay a chance.</span>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-65227400368718681982011-02-28T18:03:00.000-05:002011-02-28T18:03:21.402-05:00Tried and True tour videoFrom the Tried and True tour.<br />

Ye-ah, I did that on purpose. I wanted it to match my feelings on what is aptly called 'The Tried and True Tour'.</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;"></span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;">Why so late with this tour? The cd was out eons ago.</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;"></span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;">Shouldn't the tour have come first; or at the very least coincided with the release of the cd?</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;"></span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;">That being said, <em>'I'm sorry Clay, but truthfully, I don't think the tour is going to help sell the cd. While you do sound wonderful on all of the tracks, it's not a cd I've listened to more than twice.' </em></span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;"></span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;">The main thing I'm hoping to get out of this tour for myself is to see your interaction with the fans, banter with whomever is on stage with you, your quick wit and shining personality. Not the music.</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;"></span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #0b5394;">As I've said before, lol; it's your fault. Your fault for showing me there's more to you than a 'voice' for singing.</span></strong><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>Being a fellow</strong></span> <img height="85" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/floridabelle/sagg.jpg" width="125" /> <span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>I get that you're stubborn, so I'll just hang in there and hope that someday my <em>tastes</em> will catch up to the songs you prefer to sing.</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><br />
<strong></strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>In the meantime, I wish you all the best with the tour. I hope it's a big success for you with lots of fun, love and laughter.</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><br />
<strong></strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>p.s. Sorry for dissing your tour title.</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><br />
<strong></strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>p.p.s. What's on your mind for the next cd? </strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong><em><span style="color: #6fa8dc;">'Clay Aiken Untamed'</span></em> has a nice ring to it. :)</strong></span><br />

You decide.<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When you're not touring, releasing a cd, promoting something, etc., you are indeed 'invisible'. Just as you ironically sang about many moons ago.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">LoL, I guess you got your wish. Not that that's a bad thing if that's what you want though. More power to you...to do it 'your way'.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In the meantime, while you're invisible, so are a lot of your fans. You know, the ones that you're not in touch with. The ones that don't follow you around the country when you tour, go to every gala or charity function.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The thing is, they don't want to necessarily do all that. They just want to know if you're still interested your career. You do, after all, stay out of the spotlight, out of touch, so to speak, when you have nothing going on.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I mean, there is 'privacy'....then there's 'Howard Hughes'. lol</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But when you disappear entirely during a hiatus, well, isn't that a bit counter productive?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I dunno. To be honest, for me, just reading this as I'm writing, I realize, for me, it doesn't matter. I have so much going on to deal with that it's ok to wait until you're back touring, releasing a cd or whatever.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Some may say, "well, that's the same way Clay may feel."</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">True, but being in the entertainment business, one would think you should be a bit more in touch with your fan base.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For me, it's actually better at this point in my life though.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The excitement and fluff was great in the beginning, but like a marriage, the honeymoon can't last forever.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">And I'm okay with that. Truthfully, I think that's the way you want it to be.</span>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-28128736017734861432010-10-16T13:31:00.000-04:002010-10-16T13:31:19.557-04:00National Inclusion Project Champion Gala<span style="color: white;">from:</span> <a href="http://www.inclusionproject.org/">National Inclusion Project</a><br />

<br />
<strong><span style="color: orange; font-size: large;">Yep, October 1st marked our 3rd year together; some of you from the beginning and some that joined along the way. </span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: orange;"><span style="font-size: large;">I know I've said it before and what better time to say it again. I believe we have the most unique members here that are Clay fans. We can disagree with what may or may not be going on with Clay, but</span> <em><span style="font-size: x-large;">still accept and respect</span></em> <span style="font-size: large;">that we don't necessarily all have the same opinons.</span></span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: orange; font-size: large;">I'm very proud we were able to achieve that here. Sure, it may be that way at some message boards NOW, but they weren't always that way, so I'm very proud to have (TN) TrulyNeutral be, what I consider, <em>the first</em>.</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: orange; font-size: large;">Thank you everyone for continuing to remain here at TN. I truly do appreciate all of you. </span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: orange; font-size: large;">That would include our lurkers as well....and please, don't hesitate to post your opinions. You are more than welcome to join in any time.</span></strong><br />

<span style="color: white;">to create a new blog for it. Thanks 'Guest' for bringing the question over from OC.</span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">Here's is <em>Guests</em> post:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: blue;">Guest</span> <br />
<strong><span style="color: white;">Here's some words of advice from Ginger at the OC. What do you guys think? </span></strong><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<strong><span style="color: white;">Boy, it's all gloom and doom over there. They're discussing the future of Clay as far as recording goes. Clay can't do anything right for some of them. </span></strong><br />
<span style="color: white;"><strong>Let's face it. Clay's recording career is not exactly going well and I'm not sure it matters what he does.</strong> </span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">His best hope is to say good bye to the fans and move overseas for a few years or just do Broadway and re-invent himself. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>Okay, so here's what I think:</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>The thing is: I don't think Clay wants to re-invent himself. I mean, he might, I sure don't know, but IMO he doesn't appear to want to.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>Should he? If he wants to increase his fanbase, then yes. But, it's really hard to see where that matters to him lately....as far as singing goes anyway.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>It may be just me, but IMO, the old stuff (music) ain't gonna cut it careerwise. I think he needs to be a bit more open minded and give the more current music styles another chance.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>Unless he really really hates it; it's his best bet to give fans what they want.</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>Hopefully, he's rethinking this himself and not only the fans.<br />
</strong></span><strong><span style="color: #38761d;">Broadway? Absolutely I think he should do Broadway again if given the chance. He's got the talent for comedy and acting so I think he should push more for that to be part of his career, even if he has to put the music aspect aside.</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: white;">I wish I had time to add more, but it's a work day.</span></strong>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-35523991288422256002010-09-19T17:57:00.000-04:002010-09-19T17:57:27.089-04:00Nonny's Clay favorites<p$1><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><strong>Well, not all of my favorites are here, but there are quite a few for your listening/viewing pleasure.</strong></span><br />

I'm okay with the downtime. It's <em>got</em> to be good for Clay and I know it's good for me.<br />
<br />
With that, I know there is still much to discuss as I read the last comment section. You guys are the BEST, that's for sure.<br />
<br />
So please, feel free to keep the current discussion going.....or if you wish, please feel free to discuss any topic that comes to mind. You all are very engaging, so I would imagine any subjects you decide on would be very interesting for most of us here.<br />

<strong><span style="color: #e06666; font-family: Arial;">Yup, his fault that he showed me his Jerry Lewis, Tim Conway style comedy...the timing, the slapstick, the ad libbing, the wit and, yes, the acting ability it takes to pull it off.</span></strong><br />

<br />
<span style="color: white;">Yup, the countdown is on!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: white;">It won't be long now. <span style="font-size: x-large;">Clay </span>and Ruben, entertaining me at</span> <a href="http://www.kingcenter.com/">The King Center</a><span style="color: white;">, </span><span style="color: white;">right here in Melbourne Florida on July 25th, 3pm EST. </span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">Listening to Clay's recent interviews, it seems this tour will be similiar to the JBT; he and Ruben singing songs from the 50's up to the 80's. </span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">If lucky....maybe they'll even throw in some 90's stuff for the fun of it.</span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">As I may have said before, I didn't get to see the JBT <em>live</em>, but thanks to clack, I <em>can</em> say it's my all time favorite of all the tours Clay has done.</span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">Will you be attending one or more of the Timeless Tour shows? </span><br />
<span style="color: white;">Are you happy with this tour theme?</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">Would you prefer it was the tour to promote <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Tried-True-Clay-Aiken/dp/B003BGRGAM?ie=UTF8&tag=widgetsamazon-20&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969" target="_blank">Tried and True</a><img alt="" border="0" height="1" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=widgetsamazon-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B003BGRGAM" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; margin: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px !important; padding-left: 0px !important; padding-right: 0px !important; padding-top: 0px !important;" width="1" /> ?</span><br />
<span style="color: white; font-size: small;">What is your opinion?</span><br />
<span style="color: white;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: white; font-size: small;">Me.... I'm attending one show, I'm thrilled with the theme, I'm happy it isn't a tour promo of Tried and True.</span><br />
<br />

</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Amazing as it is, my favorite song from Tried and True is 'It's Impossible'.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Why is that amazing you ask? Well, I'll tell ya (as if I haven't before, lol);</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">I. DON'T. LIKE. SLOW. SONGS. I mean, hellooooo.....Borrrrr-ing.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">But, for some reason, not <em>this</em> slow song. </div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">I'm not sure what it is about this one. Maybe it's the way Clay's singing it. The voice seems a little raspy which gives it more heart and I don't hear that <em>breathiness</em> that I don't care for. YAY.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">More than those 2 items, it sounds very sincere, as if he's singing it with meaning towards someone. Well done, IMO.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">2nd on the playlist is, shockingly, 'It's Only Make Believe'. </div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">I totally didn't expect to like this at.all. I mean, I played Conways Twitty's version on the old 45; or was it 33 1/3, over and over again back in the day.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">But I like this more upbeat, jazzed up, big band <em>swing</em> laden version A.LOT.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Yes, there are only 2 songs on the player above. No, it's not because I don't like them, but because I haven't had time to add more yet. In time, I may add more.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Your turn. </div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Please share your favorites from TnT. </div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Are there any you don't like; or some you'll skip entirely?</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Me? My least favorites are Crying, Moon River and You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;"><br />
</div><div align="left" style="visibility: visible;">Skippers: Crying, Moon River and YDHTSYLM ^^^^.</div></center>nonnymushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10775313165632441396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450024233736450731.post-9284775088391984912010-06-13T17:57:00.000-04:002010-06-13T17:57:31.352-04:00Singing to WIN<span style="color: #e06666;"><strong>Blog repeat. Please carry on. :-)</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">I was thinking about something I said a while ago, here at TrulyNeutral...that Clay needs to sing like he's in competition again. Well, that's exactly what I feel when I listen to TnT.</span> <br />
<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clay_Aiken">Clay Aiken</a> <span style="color: #ffe599;">is <i>back</i> and 'that voice' is <i><span style="font-size: x-large;">working it</span></i> again.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">Whatever he's done; whether it be voice training, taking time off, letting go of some stress in his life, whatever it was, it is noticeable when he sings.</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">And I <em>like</em> it, just as I did back in 2003 when he was in competition. He sang to win and I feel as if that is exactly what he's doing again; singing to win!</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">Okay, I don't get this:</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">'It's Impossible'. Probably the slowest song on the cd....and you all know I DON'T.LIKE.SLOW, but <em>what the</em>......'It's Impossible' is beautifully done; arrangement wise/voice wise/heartwrenchingwise/tearjerkingwise, just plain exceptional.</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">I never in a million years would have expected to like that one.</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">There are others I like as well, although I didn't expect to.</span><br />
<span style="color: #ffe599;">Oh well, I don't mind being wrong.....when it's for the right reason. :-)</span><br />

<strong><span style="color: #6fa8dc; font-family: Arial; font-size: large;">I do hope you'll share your thoughts and opinions on 'Tried and True', the CD Clay Aiken wanted to make all along.</span></strong><br />
