Losing Credibility ~~ IMO

There has been some interesting discussion here for the last 2 days. Good points have been made for both sides on the subject.

The grammar, punctuation, etc. .(well, I'm jealous)....but then comes the name calling, insinutations of use of mind altering drugs, etc.

When any subject matter is discussed or argued, resorting to attacking to someone in that way just takes away from the point you're trying to get across.
It loses credibility.

Think of having an arguement with a friend, spouse or family member and all of a sudden it turns into a match of insults, name calling or insinuations....the subject you started out discussing or arguing about in the first place suddenly becomes an afterthought until you get back on track.

Sure, you don't necessarily come to the same conclusion on the subject matter, but you may come to a resolution by realizing you don't need to resort to attacking each other.

Yes, I did experience this starting with my mother as a young child all the way up to my ex-husband to my ex-boyfriend.

Nothing, was resolved other than feeling disgust or intense dislike and lack of respect for that person.

So please, when you're commenting on a certain topic, please think about it, you're only fueling the feelings you have against one another, and not addressing the subject properly.
