"what brought me here".

Contributed by: Harmony

I am so thankful for this blog. I think it is long overdue. Now, I know I would be labeled a 'bad fan' for being here. For that, I don't care. Sometimes I just don't feel like being all fangirly. Sometimes I want to be able to say that yes, he does look chunky, without being smacked down. I want to be able to say that 'no', I don't think he's the best thing since sliced bread all of the time. It is beyond aggravating..

I have been around several boards in the last few years. It is hard to fit in sometimes, especially when you don't feel like being a bright Pollyanna all the time. If you're not, you're a 'bad fan'.

Some people may call this a 'haters' blog. But I think it is far from it. It is a place where everybody can come and discuss whatever they feel like at the time, without having the 'fan police' watching them. It is refreshing. If I feel like having a late night discussion about food, I can! Yes, though it is a Clay blog, we can still have fun, whether we discuss him or not.

You don't have to worry that you will be slapped down if you say he's gay. You won't be slapped down if you say you think he's gotten fat. You don't have to worry that your posts are being analyzed, and people are going to pounce on you if you're even remotely negative! This is why I'm here.

I'm sick to death of the 'good fan, bad fan' mentality that I see is a growing problem throughout most of Claynation. So what if I think he's gay? So what if I think he's gotten paunchy? So what if I think he can be rude? Not that I do think he's gay, but it's my God given right to feel the way I do, and I shouldn't have to worry that somebody is going to jump on me for posting. As far as I'm concerned, a fan is a fan is a fan. I also shouldn't have to worry that somebody is going to shoot me a nasty PM or email, or that somebody is going to 'seek me out' if they perceive me to be a bad fan.

Just because you feel a fellow fan doesn't support him in the same way you do, doesn't make them bad. As fans, we can all support him in different ways. No fan is better than the other really. We all buy his music, some go to his concerts, watch him on tv, etc. That's a fan. If I'm a bad fan for posting on this blog, so be it.

This blog is good for letting people come together and discuss what they feel. Be it good or bad. This kind of blog brings people together. The fan police just end up tearing each other apart. So thank you TrulyNeutral, for letting me 'Use My Voice'.
