I'm not really sure where to go with this new blog so I'll just start typing and see what transpires.
Fans are getting restless, new non fans are coming out of the woodwork (may be an exaggeration, but there are some).
I realize Clay said he's taking some time off, but some fans are getting worried. Worried that even with time off, Clay hasn't blogged; wondering why they haven't heard from him; wondering why they didn't know he was going to be singing at the Ford Theater.
Did he realize if fans had known he'd be singing for the president, they'd be there in droves? There to support him, yet embarrassing him instead. Worried that some may be secretly video taping him, knowing it would get out?
Is Clay trying to send a message or are we overreacting by his lack of contact with his fan club?
Is Clay trying to finally pull away from the Claymates? The OTT ones that are getting out of hand.
I do not think all Claymates are OTT and it is my opinion that Clay doesn't think so either. But, what should he do at this point?
Stay quiet and wait to see who hangs in there or speak out about what he's not happy with.
I'm only assuming that Clay that has things he'd like to express with regard to the fans, but if he does, I think it's time to say so, the good, the bad and the ugly.
No, I'm not referring to his personal business; such as his sex life.
I believe that's up to him on whether he wants to share or not.
I know we discuss the gay or not gay issue here, but for me it started as wondering if *fans had left the fandom or would leave the fandom if he were gay.
There haven't been any responses to *that in particular, that I recall. The topic is still on the table though if you want to have your say.
Anyway, for me, it would be nice to hear from Clay, even just for him to say 'hello', nothing more, nothing less....well, maybe put up a couple of new pictures that I could steal for this blog. *grin
Ok, now to go completely off topic, but I have to vent on a pet peeve of mine. What you'll read below is something that I get so upset with when I read people's comments at blogs, message boards, etc.
No, it's not the subject of it, but the .......well, read on and I'll let you know at the end of it. This came from an email I received: (only the annoying part)
So the manager comes over, I explained everything to him, and he said, well, sir they should of told you about the policy when you got the item. I said, No one, has ever told me about the check refund or restock fee, whenever I bought items from computers to TVs from XXXXXXXX. The only thing they ever discussed was the worthless extended warranty program. He said Well, I can give you corporate phone number. I called corporate. The guy said, well, I'm not supposed to do this but I can give you a 45.00 dollar gift card and you can use it at XXXX XXX. I told him if I bought something and returned it, you would charge me a restock fee on the item and then send me a check for the remaining 3 dollars. You can keep your gift card, I'm never shopping in XXXX XXX ever again, and if I would of been smart, I would of charged the whole thing on my credit card! Then I would of canceled the transaction. I would of gotten all my money back including your stupid fees! He didn't say a word! I informed him that I was going to e-mail my friends and give them a heads up on this stores policy, as they don't tell you about all the little caveats. So please pass this on. It may save your friends from having a bad experience of shopping at XXXX XXX.
Grrrrrr. The improper use of what should be:
would have
should have
could have
not
would of
should of
could of
Sorry, this drives me nuts. I just had to vent this somewhere.
Please don't hold it against me. I know I make mistakes (probably right here in this paragraph). It's just, this one, to me, is an obvious lack of good teaching in our education system and not necessarily the 'posters' fault. So, if anyone is reading here that didn't know before, they know now.
FYI, I've never seen it misused here that I recall.
Adorable animal video.
