What will Clay do?
I would love to hear from more ex-fans that feel the same as one of our new members does. Your reasons for becoming an ex-fan.
Are you an ex-fan lurking? I'd love to hear your opinion and feelings on this subject. Why are you now an ex-fan? Do you think you'll ever become a fan again or is it too late?
Fans are expressing their displeasure of where Clay's career is heading, their displeasure with Clay becoming a dad out of wedlock. Are they on the verge of leaving the fandom too?
Like a lot of people say, fan or not, there is just something about remaining on the blogs and message boards to keep up with the goings on in Clay world.
I think a lot of it is akin to feeling shocked that it has come to this, so they keep coming back to see if it's getting better or worse.
For a long time I didn't truly see that the fanbase had dwindled, but I can do see it now. It has become quite obvious.
What will Clay do?
It's going to take a lot of hard work on Clay's part to regain his fanbase and their trust (for those that have become disenchanted).
Maybe he has a plan in action. Spamalot Broadway/Spamalot the movie. Perhaps he returned in order to prove himself once again in order to get the part in the movie. I think that would be a good career move and am hoping he's thinking along those lines.
It's hard for us to speculate beyond that at this point, but it doesn't deter me from wondering what Clay will do.
We all (well, alot of us) have said, 'I hope Clay does this' or 'I hope Clay does that', (including me), and more than likely will continue, but it really is about what Clay is happy doing for his career. Just as it is for us and our own careers.
I think I'll just hang out to wait and see, because for me, it's all about the entertainment of Clay Aiken.
Ex-fan lurkers, if you're out there, please let us know what you're feeling. Fan lurkers too, of course. Thanks.
