dependable, reliable, honorable, faithful, truthful, shameful, hurtful?

Can you claim some of these qualities? Do you deny your faults?

I'm quite dependable and reliable. I'm known in my circle of family, co-workers and friends to be honorable and truthful.

Truthful to a fault maybe.

I can't deny my faults. Shameful? Yes, I’m a product of my upbringing. At my age (not telling, lol) you'd think that I would have outgrown it, but shame is built on lies I’ve believed and it stays with me, as much as the heart beating in my chest.

To me, shameful is a fault. It causes me to not be free enough to enjoy what's out there in the world. It causes me to have regrets with situations I didn't handle properly in life. It causes me to be shameful about life with family members that I hardly know any longer. Shame begets more shame.

Hurtful? Not intentionally, but I am guilty none the less. There are the quick abrupt, not always nice retorts given in situations created by stress, whether it's work related or just life in general. The nasty look given when someone butts into your place in line or the nasty remark mumbled just under your breath, (but enough for the offending party to hear), "Geesh idiot, what's wrong with you"?

You know, dont' you? We've all been there. We'll all be there again many more times in our lives.

Does it make us bad people? NO. We are human. Clay is human. We all have our qualities and our faults. It's who we are.

If I were looking for perfection I would cease to be a Clay fan. I value him as a human being – his qualities and his flaws.
