Ok, so there's no denying that Clay has been through more in a short 2 years than anybody should ever have to go through. But honestly, I don't think he does himself any favors. There's no denying that it's hard to take him seriously when he does things like burp and fart all through his concerts, makes half the
concerts about TV medleys, and now this latest with his upcoming Christmas tour. While I do not know exactly what the whole thing is all about, because I am not a member of the OFC, I think the general jist of it is that some fans will be selected to share their favorite Christmas memories on stage. That to me, is so pageant like and cheesy, I can not even put into words what a bad idea I think it is.
There is a glimmer of hope for him though. A new CD. Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait. I keep asking myself.. if he puts out a kickass CD, will people take him more seriously as a performer? My answer? I think it would help. He needs to put out a kickass new CD, and when he tours with it, just be more professional on the whole. You can still have fun and be goofy, all the while putting on a show your fans will enjoy. You don't need to burp, and be borderline rude to be funny.
Then there's the the Neil Sedaka tribute coming up. I do see that a few think a lot rides on that performance. I can see that. In some of his concerts, he goofs around and forgets the words. To do that, to forget the words to one of his songs at this tribute, would just be a nightmare. So Clay, pretend I'm your publicist. Before this tribute, rehearse, rehearse, rehearse! Go on to your Christmas tour and try to stay away from the kind of banter you did last year. In this blogger's opinion, it kind of bordered on rude. Well, some of it.
Go on to make your best CD yet! Your fans want all the media who constantly rank on you to eat their words!
